Online convention guide of the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS helps when planning congresses
Holding a convention in the historical ambience of the Town Hall, in the realistic all-weather zoo, in the baroque castle of the university or classically at the Messe- und Congress Centrum? How about accompanying programmes from a romantic night-watchman guided tour to cooking events with regional products to a sporty Segway tour and culinary addresses ranging from the hearty to the Mediterranean? Anyone planning a congress in Münster who is looking for premises, accompanying programmes or convention hotels will find what they are looking for in the new "Congress and Convention Guide" of the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS.
Exactly 51 locations are listed here with a total area of 48,900 square metres, including classic congress sites, convention sites with special flair and convention hotels. In addition to this there are providers of accompanying programmes, restaurants and things worth knowing about the congress city and on the service of the congress office of Münster Marketing. This makes the Congress and Convention Guide probably the most comprehensive work manual for anyone who would like to plan a congress in Münster and a further step by the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS to strengthen the convention site. It is edited by the Congress Office of Münster Marketing.
The online convention guide is available as a PDF document on the web pages of the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS (www.kongresse-muenster.de). It has clearly set out navigation, with which one can look specifically for the desired building blocks, and is directly linked to the respective service. "We have chosen an online variant, because unlike a printed brochure this can be expanded and updated at any time," says Bernadette Spinnen, Director of Münster Marketing and Spokeswoman of the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS.
And constant expansion is desired. So far 56 partners are represented in the Congress and Convention Guide. They have all promised to support the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS together. "We hope that many more partners will join in. Every provider and stakeholder is welcome who would like to contribute something to the congress site Münster,” emphasises Bernadette Spinnen.
The Congress and Convention Guide is to be made better known by a marketing campaign. This includes posters at the railway station and on advertising pillars, advertisements on city buses, presence on the digital information points of the university, ads in specialist magazines, mailings and a campaign on the social networks.
In the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS, ten members have been championing the congress site of Münster since 2001. These are: DEHOGA Westfalen (Westphalia branch of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association), Münster University of Applied Sciences, Münster/Osnabrück International Airport, Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland, North Westphalia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Münsterland e.V., Stadtwerke Münster, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität, Wirtschaftsförderung Münster und Münster Marketing. The initiative is managed by the congress office of Münster Marketing.
