Activities of the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS
Convention Trip from 30.8. to 1.9.2012
Organisers are impressed by the convention site Münster
Nothing convinces convention organisers more than being able to see with their own eyes the advantages that Münster has to offer as a conference and convention site. This is why KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS has for the first time organised a convention trip in 2012.
Unlike the other Fam trips, the convention trip is not tailored to a particular target group, but is instead a programme for all organisers throughout Germany. Interested parties can register via a special internet site and provide information about the size of the planned events. This way the convention trip can be planned and carried out more in line with the wishes of the organisers.
Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland, Münster's top hotels and Kongressbüro Münster Marketing have sent out invitations to the trip. At the end of August – embedded in the Schauraum festival of museums and galleries – nine participants then went on a convention trip through Münster.
There were seven hotels on the itinerary, including the Best Western Hotel Krautkrämer. The hotel not only showed its conference capacities, but also proved that Westphalian cuisine can be interpreted in a very modern way, such as with Westphalian antipasti. Each hotelier had a surprise ready for the participant. The Messe und Congress Centrum was also thoroughly impressive, with its different rooms and highlights, such as the business lodges. To get a good overview of Münster's many facets, the trip continued to the Aasee with the Restaurant A2 and the Hotel Mövenpick. The Picasso Museum, Stadthotel Münster and Hotel Kaiserhof were also presented. Everyone brought the second evening to a close together with a visit to Münster's "Schauraum".
At the end of the trip, all the participants were enthusiastic about the many faces of Münster as an events venue – and just as much by the good cooperation of the convention partners on site. The first convention trip was such a success that KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS incorporated the trip into their repertoire.
