Activities of the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS
Info-Trip 25.4. to 27.4.2013
Münster presents itself as the convention site in NRW
In order to market the convention and conference site Münster, the KONGRESSINITIATIVE MS is also active in North-Rhine Westphalia (NRW). It is thus – represented by Kongressbüro Münster Marketing – a member of the "Business" expertise network of the association Tourismus NRW. In this network, numerous marketing and sales measures are planned together with other cities and regions from NRW. One building block of this is the info-trip for the organisers of conventions and conferences, which took seven potential conference organisers to Münster and Bielefeld at the end of April.
Almost all participants used the opportunity to arrive in advance, so that they could relax before starting the first, packed day of the visit. After a short welcome in the civic hall of the historical town hall at 10 o'clock, it was time to ride, very typically of Münster, by bike or "Leeze" to the Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland. The visit to the Museum of Lacquer Art and lunch at the Hotel Kaiserhof was followed by a tour of the city in the Münsterbus. Later, on board the solar-powered water bus "SOLAARIS", a guide of the town Lupe explained the sculptures on the bank of the Aasee. After a flying visit to the Mühlenhof Open-Air Museum, a guided tour through the whale exhibition at the LWL-Museum of Natural History was on the schedule. Sporting activities were not neglected either: at the horse museum, guests swung office golf clubs, which was a lot of fun for both golfers and non-golfers. After the tour of the building and an evening meal at the Hotel Mövenpick, a day full of new impressions and ideas for the guests came to an end.
The following morning, breakfast together at the Stadthotel formed the closing point of the schedule in Münster. The group then said farewell and left in the direction of Bielefeld for the second part of the programme, in a good mood and full of praise for the conference and convention site Münster.
